Centricity Music has Most Successful Year with Grammy Nomination, Dove and K-LOVE Awards, No. 1 Projects and Major Tours

Nashville, Tenn. (December 17, 2015) —- It’s been an incredible and joyous year for Centricity Music. The label reached new milestones with their talented roster of artists; from receiving their first Grammy nomination, winning their first Dove and K-LOVE awards, reaching the top of the radio charts, having incredible sales numbers and artists being featured on major tours.

“This year delivered a lot of ‘firsts’ for the label and we are thrilled with the impact the music of our talented roster is having,” says Steve Ford, General Manager, Centricity Music. “We’ve had our first major awards shows nominations and wins, No. 1 albums, first multi-week singles from new artists on Billboard’s NCA and CHR charts, Andrew Peterson’s highest charting album of his career and the rest of our artists having Top 5 – Top 20 singles. I’m so thankful for the hard work of these artists and the Centricity team and looking forward to 2016 with new signings and projects.”

Here are some of the highlights from 2015:

Lauren Daigle:

She received her first Grammy Awards nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (How Can It Be); won three Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year (“How Can It Be”) and a K-LOVE award for Worship Song of the Year (“How Can It Be”). How Can It Be debuted No. 1 on Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart and the current single, “First,” reaches No. 1 for three weeks on Billboard National Christian Audience Chart (NCA). Daigle has toured with Big Daddy Weave, Outcry Tour (Hillsong United), Crowder, Casting Crowns,  Chris Tomlin and performed for over 500,000 people. Her videos have received over 37-million YouTube/VEVO video views, and she is featured on Chris Tomlin’s Adore Christmas album with the song “Noel.”

Jordan Feliz:

His debut single, “The River,” went No. 1 on Billboard’s NCA chart and remained No. 1 for eight weeks on Billboard’s Hot AC/CHR Chart, while the song is No. 2 on iTunes Christian and Gospel

Top Songs Chart. “The River” is from his first Centricity album, Beloved, and it reached No. 62 on Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart. Feliz has been heralded as “One of the most promising debuts this year” by New Release Today, and Soul-Audio.com says he is a “bright new star on the horizon.” His recent interviews include TBN/Real Video, Life With Purpose Radio, and All Access.

Andrew Peterson:

The Burning Edge Of Dawn debuted No. 2 on Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart, which is Peterson’s highest album debut to date, and was No. 1 on iTunes Christian and Gospel Top Albums Chart. The “Be Kind To Yourself” music video has reached over 160,000 YouTube/VEVO views at this date. Peterson made his third Grand Ole Opry appearance with two performances on Nov. 21st, before launching his 16th annual Behold The Lamb of God Christmas Tour this month, which included two dates at the historic Ryman Auditorium

2015 saw Centricity Music’s band, Carrollton, release their second EP, Sunlight and Shadows, that reached their highest debut, No. 48 on Billboard Top Christian Albums Chart. The first single, “Let Love Win,” reached Top 30 on Billboard NCA Chart and Top 25 at AC Monitored.

Carrollton will join Jason Gray on his 3rd annual Christmas Stories Tour in December. Gray released Post Script this summer that features remixes or demos of previously recorded songs. The only new song, “Glow In The Dark,” was released as a single and reached Top 20 on Billboard’s NCA Chart. Also this year, Gray toured with Big Daddy Weave and Lauren Daigle.

Unspoken started 2015 with the single, “Good Fight,” reaching Top 15 on the NCA Chart, Top 10 at AC Monitored and Top 5 at AC Indicator. The Start A Fire Tour followed in the spring, with Unspoken joining The Afters and Chris August in the fall for the Time Of My Life Tour. Unspoken embarked on the holiday tour, A Christmas Together, this month that also features JJ Weeks Band and David Dunn. The group released Unplugged, a collection of their favorite songs all performed acoustically, showcasing the tremendous talent of this band.

Other standouts this year include Dove Award-winning Aaron Shust’s full-length album, Doxology, with CCM Magazine spotlighting “the grounded lyrics and towering melodies.” Shust also launched his 2nd annual Unto Us Christmas Tour 2015 that runs through December. Jonny Diaz released his second project for Centricity Music, Everything Is Changing, with CCM saying, “Diaz has truly found his voice.” The debut single from the project, “Breathe,” broke into the Top 20 on Billboard’s NCA chart this month. The singer/songwriter joined JJ Weeks and Unspoken on the Start A Fire Tour earlier this year and is featured on Jason Gray’s Christmas Stories Tour with Carrollton.

New to the Centricity family is Jared Anderson, whose debut EP, Where I Am Right Now, released in March, and the title track was the first single that reached Top 15 on Billboard’s Soft AC Chart. Crosswalk.com supported the song with a headline saying, “Powerful Worship Song Will BLOW You Away.” The second single, “Almighty,” reached Top 20 at radio. Anderson was featured in a profile piece on CBN Interactive this past summer.
